John Udell’s passion is to entertain by means of food, wine,
and good old Canadian hospitality.
With a love for Canadian food products, and influences from Italian
and
French cooking, he puts it all together with a no-nonsense attitude
at the Baker Creek Bistro.
Chef John’s appreciation for local ingredients comes from his
training in
Canada’s top restaurant and hotel kitchens, from St. John’s,
Newfoundland,
to Victoria, British Columbia.
John is dedicated to sourcing out the best and freshest ingredients,
and keeping things simple by focusing on using few flavours.
His
dream has always been to have his own restaurant; his reason,
to help people acquire a passion for food and the joy of dining out.
